Cedarwood is an outgrowth of our love and respect for the Adirondack Mountains. It was over 50 years ago that our grandparents first introduced us to the beauty and wonder of the Adirondacks, and specifically the Old Forge area. In fact, our grandfather had built a camp on 4th Lake, well before the start of the Great Depression, which became our introduction to the Adirondacks. Just as our grandparents instilled in us, the love and respect for nature, we too, have passed this on to our own children.
Our Philosophy-
Thank you for placing your trust in us to help provide you with the most enjoyable Adirondack experience that you can have. While your accommodations are only one facet of the total Adirondack experience, it is an important one.
After purchasing Cedarwood in December, 2004, we couldn't wait to reinvigorate the camp and grounds. In fact, we are so passionate about providing you with a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable surroundings, that we have updated many of the furnishings in Cedarwood ( television with DVD and VCR, lamps, rugs, mirrors, dining room table, beds, dishes, pots/pans, fire pit, changed the exterior from mustard to Adirondack green, etc.). We were not pleased with the performance of the existing furnace, so we replaced that as well. Our plans are to continue this updating on a regular basis. Please, be assured that your experience at Cedarwood, will be a most memorable and "stress-free" one.
From the time that you arrive at Cedarwood, to the time that you say "good-bye", we want you to thoroughly enjoy yourself. Whether Cedarwood is your final destination, or only a home base to use to further explore and enjoy our Adirondacks, please make yourself comfortable.
